Don’t forget to visit me over at Tumblr – I just added post #1500 last week, which is certainly more than I’ll ever attain here. Here’s a sample of what you’ll get:
Minton Hill House | The Sunday Times Market
Just the other day I actually said in conversation, “You can pry my iPhone out of my cold, dead hands.” This after having to be talked into buying it – for months! By several people! Now i can’t live without it.
Anything that important deserves to be pretty, right? Thanks to suitep I’ve discovered Poolga, which will keep my iPhone wallpaper stylish for years to come.
Even if you aren’t among the iPhoned it’s still worth a visit to check out some cool work by a variety of artists. I am particularly fond of Mark Weaver’s collages and the illustrations of Laszlito Kovacs.
Oooooh Y’ALL! You’ve got to see what came in the mail yesterday!
No, I mean you’ve got to come to my house, because this here just doesn’t do it justice. It’s GORGEOUS. It’s from Katie Kirk of EightHourDay (blog | flickr) I arrived at it via Jenn Ski and purchased it instantly – a rarity for me, because I’ll usually hem and haw over something until it’s sold out. But i’m so glad I jumped on this one!
A long time ago I tried to embed a YouTube video here on my blog, and for whatever reason it didn’t work…and I never tried again.
Until today!
almost as good as being there.
Polaroid SX-70 Promotional Film from Ekim on Vimeo.
This is amazing and worth watching all the way through (I thought the beginning was a bit slow, but I’m sure that’s just because my attention span has been ruined by computers.) I never thought much about the marriage between physics and chemistry playing out within a polaroid camera, and those Eames make it look magical.

Okay, this is not my normal kind of jam and the video is impossibly twee, but I couldn’t get either one out of my head. By the time everything turned into rainbows I was cheering out loud. Now it’s on you.
Alright! Videos a’plenty. We’re clearing new technological hurdles every. single. day.
I wish I could take pictures just. like. this. Every single one is gorgeous!

We have too many blank walls around this house! I’ve been looking online, in the stores and the thrifts for the perfect accent pieces. Here are a few recent etsy favs:
Plaques
LoveDoveTrading and dirtybirdiesvintage
Fine Art
happydayvintage and objetpetita
Tea Towels
Fiber Art
Educational
things making me happy right this second:
Tallvik table lamp from IKEA. Looks better in person and WAY better lit. Reminds me of the bottom of my parents’ old lava lamp.
Peacock Alley flannel sheets – specifically that “Glacier” color blue. By far the best flannel sheets I’ve bought in my life! I got ours a year ago – and have been using them on and off the whole time – and they’re still thick, soft and so pretty. These Target ones are okay (they certainly come in a bigger range of colors) but they’re not going to hold up well.
Christmas penguins from Home Depot and Lowes. I think these are the only two I don’t have yet. Yup – we’re going to be THAT house this year (and I can’t wait!)
200th post here. I guess that’s some kind of milestone, right? Big up to my homeslices, the always-rockin’-never-stoppin’ Sara Margaret and Miss Leah for regularly tuning in!
If you like what you see here and want even MORE of it, hie thee to Tumblr where all the cool kids are hanging out these days. There you’ll find delicious MCM eye candy, lovely home interiors, blow-your-mind artwork, teen-style hollywood crushes and a smattering of politics for flavor. Some recent gems include:

from lab partners – back with a new look, by the way!

Best of all, my Tumblr is updated almost daily, excepting legal holidays, sick days and any time I’m flying the friendly skies. And with my Google Reader count consistently set at 1000+ for the last few months, there’s no shortage of content anytime soon. (I’ll never get caught up!)
